This wheel thrown and turned one of a kind lidded pot is made of black stoneware treated to a layer of porcelain slip. A hand 'scratched' fish motif (a technique known as sgraffito) was hand painted with different glazes. Glazed on the interior with a glossy breaking gray-blue, a foot lifts it up and a hand knotted leather tassel adorns its lid.
Dimensions:
roughly 5" tall (includes tassel) by 4 1/2" in diameter
Wipe with a damp cloth to clean.
